Possible Delay for Music City Star Commuter Rail

I'm sure it will come as no surprise to most, but once again a potential delay might be possible for the Music City Star commuter railway, which has a new station being built in Hermitage. This time it's over the cost of insurance, which is going to cost somewhere between 600k and 700k dollars a year, which is about a quarter of the proposed annual operating budget. That seems a bit steep to me, but I'm no insurance expert. I'm more worried that if they only run three trains in the morning and three in the afternoon is it going to be convienient or flexible enough for anyone to bother using it?

Hermitage Starbucks

The Starbucks in Hermitage, at the corner of Lebanon and Andrew Jackson Parkway, will be hosting a coffee seminar free to the public at 6 pm Thursday, April 20th. They will also be helping to support Earth Day by giving a free beverage coupon to customers who bring in their own personal or travel mug for use (rather than wasting a paper cup) on Saturday, April 22nd. The use of a personal or travel mug also gives the customer a 10 cent discount on every beverage purchase. The Nashville Earth Day celebration will be on Saturday, April 22 at Centennial Park off West End. Festivities begin at 11am.

Stones River Greenway

If you live in or near Hermitage, you should check out the Stones River Greenway . It's a great walking path on a nice scenic river. The greenway is not complete yet, but if you start from the Percy Priest Dam trailhead, you can go all the way to the Kohl's on Lebanon Pike before the trail ends. From a recent announcement, it looks like the full greenway won't be finished until sometime in 2008 since TDOT is going to build a new bridge on Lebanon Pike and the old green truss bridge will be used exclusively for the greenway after that.
